This engaging Stage 3 lesson (ages 9–10) develops picnic-themed vocabulary while introducing grammar structures for expressing quantities: some / any / a lot of / much / many

Students practise describing picnic supplies and food amounts using sentences such as We have some snacks, There aren’t any juice boxes left, and We brought a lot of food. The lesson combines structured grammar activities, phonics focus (/eer/ sound), tricky words, speaking fluency tasks, and interactive games to build accuracy and confidence in using quantifiers correctly.

Activities progress from vocabulary recognition and controlled sentence practice to producing full descriptive sentences in meaningful picnic contexts.
