Teacher notes

The grammar focus—“There is ___.” and “There are ___.”—helps students describe what they see on the farm using simple sentences. The lesson integrates vocabulary, grammar, phonics (/g/ sound), and fun interactive games to build fluency and confidence.

Each activity is designed to be short, visual, and hands-on, ideal for 1:1 lessons or small groups, online or in person. Learners move from recognition to sentence creation through drawing, puzzles, riddles, and games that make learning both memorable and meaningful.

Students draw their favourite farm animal in one minute while classmates guess what it is. This creative warm-up sparks interest and activates prior vocabulary.

Students repeat, identify, and describe the words in full sentences (“It’s a goat.”).
