Teacher notes

The lesson combines vocabulary development, grammar practice, phonics focus (/bl/ sound), speaking fluency, memory games, and movement activities. Students move from recognising free-time activities to confidently expressing their likes in short, clear sentences.

Activities are highly visual, playful, and suitable for 1:1 lessons or small groups, online or offline. Learning is scaffolded step by step and ends with a fun review game to reinforce key language.

Key vocabulary: build with Lego, draw, ride a bike, sing, dance, listen to music

Students practise vocabulary through matching games, memory activities, whack-a-mole, and guided speaking tasks.

Students practise choosing correct sentences, completing sentences from images, and saying full sentences during speaking games.
