This lively, interactive lesson is designed for young beginner ESL learners (Stage 1, ages 7–8). The theme Bakery introduces students to six bakery words and helps them use the grammar pattern “I want the ___.” to request items from the bakery. Phonics practice focuses on the /ai/ sound using the words train, paint, snail, and rain, and learners practise identifying /ai/ words through energetic movement games.

The lesson blends clear vocabulary input, guided grammar practice, phonics development, movement activities and playful game-based learning. Activities are short, visual and highly interactive—perfect for 1-to-1 or small-group classes online or offline. The sequence moves step-by-step from warm-up → vocabulary → speaking → grammar → movement → phonics → games → review.
